CONSUMER WARNING: Fake Job Offer for UI/UX Designer with Decoded
4-12-2023

It has come to our attention that Decoded’s name is being exploited to further a fraudulent scam, whereby individuals and/or companies are being sought out for employment to be a UI/UX Designer and provide identification and personal information to a fraudulent entity or to otherwise purchase products. We have reason to believe that if a recipient accepts the offer to be a UI/UX Designer, that person or company will receive a fraudulent job offer/appointment letter and instructions to purchase certain products and sending them to the scammer.

Decoded is not associated with these offers; nor has it provided contact information for anyone to these companies. Unfortunately, these fraudulent schemes are using the names of reputable companies like ours without our permission. Common signs that an offer like this is part of a scam or phishing campaign are: spelling errors in the email; improper use of company trademarks; and the sender’s use of free email accounts such as Gmail, AOL, Outlook, or Yahoo. Another common sign is a similar but not exact domain name to the legitimate Decoded domain name, https://decodedadvertising.com/. We are taking all necessary steps to work with the appropriate law enforcement and governmental authorities about this scam.

If you have received an offer similar to the one described above, we recommend the following:

  • DO NOT follow the instructions to purchase the requested products or provide any contact information to the scammer
  • DO NOT send any money to via any apps or through services like Western Union or Money Gram or engage in any other financial transaction
  • DO NOT contact any numbers listed on the offer and do not disclose any personal or bank account information

If you have been scammed, contact your bank and law enforcement authorities on how to proceed to recover any stolen funds, secure your bank account, and protect your personal information and privacy.
